Gather Clutch Update

A couple of weeks ago I posted about a gathered clutch. I mentioned that I thought the bags needed some pizazz across the sash. I made a fabric rose and attached it to the darker clutch.

I'm still not in love with it. It could be my rose or the fabric or the that the rose sticks out about 1.5."  What do you think? Should I just leave it plain, keep the rose, or try to find a flatter accessory to give the clutch that "wow" factor? Thanks for your input!
